Born in Lisbon in 1959.
Lives and works in Portugal, near Sintra.
In the 80s he attended the sculpture course at Fine Arts School of Lisbon.
Received a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 1993.
The first solo exhibition was in 1987 in Lisbon with sculptures in slate. It follows "First Island" and "Mediterranean" with a cast-bronze sculptures. The first exhibition in stone was in 1991 "Enormity, Sequence and Shipwreck" following the " Transformations- Uncertain Reports", "Memory Objects" and "Incomplete Stories". In 2008 starts working in iron with the exhibitions "The Skin of Things", "I transform myself into what I touch", “From Inside” and “Transmutations”.
